KEY TO VALUE CREATION

 

M&A deals deliver value in many different ways: driving inorganic growth, improving the economies of scale of the business, access to innovations, and access to new customer base and many more. No doubt bringing the strengths and opportunities of two organisations together is a very exciting exercise.

I have led and delivered over 60 M&A related assignments, primarily for private equity (PE) clients and occasionally corporates. I enjoy M&A work for its fast-moving nature and most of the time very specific briefs. 


In addition to pre deal buy-side and vendor due diligence, I also work with PE clients and their portfolio businesses on growth strategy and post-deal reorganisation.

Post-merger integration (PMI) is another key area of my work. Because of the complexity - operations, regulatory, HR, contracts, commercial etc. etc. - and the politics at play, PMI, to me, is like vinyasa yoga - keeping the process moving while avoid causing any business disruption or stepping on some political landmine!


My work also involves divestment and carve out, which requires sensitive planning, detailed programme management and seamless collaboration relationship with other experts in IT, HR and legal.
