A trusted right-hand when something important needs to happen.

I’m Candy, founder of Candidus Consulting. I’ve spent much of my career working alongside ambitious and committed leaders and teams when the path forward isn’t always obvious - working with them to understand what is really happening, work out what needs to change, and make what matters happen. 

Having lived and worked across Asia, Europe and beyond, I'm at home with teams where different cultures, languages and expectations meet. My experience spans strategy, transformation, M&A, organisational performance, leadership and culture, but I never offer a “standard” answer. The best part of my job is that every organisation has its own story, people and dynamics. I’m always curious to get to know the organisation first, then work with the people involved to work out what we need to do and make it happen.

Why “Candidus”

Candidus Consulting takes its name from the Latin word candidus, meaning bright, clear and shining. It is also the root of candid.

For me, it captures something important about how I work: bringing clarity and honest thinking to situations where things may be complicated, uncertain or moving quickly.

The aim isn’t to have all the answers. It’s to help people see things clearly enough to make good decisions, focus their efforts and move forward together towards a brighter future.
 

A career built around working alongside leaders

Based in the UK since 1999, my career has taken me across consulting, government and industry, working with organisations in Europe, Asia and beyond.
 

I started my career in the Hong Kong Government before moving into consulting with L.E.K. Consulting in London and China. I subsequently joined the Executive Management Board of TT Electronics plc, where I experienced first-hand what it means to turn strategy into action from inside a business.
 

Since then, I’ve worked as an independent consultant and adviser across more than 120 assignments, alongside CEOs, senior leadership teams, investors and organisations going through periods of growth, transformation, acquisition, integration and change. I’ve worked with businesses ranging from start-ups and SMEs to large publicly listed global groups across manufacturing, healthcare, FMCG, hospitality, transport, financial services and NGOs. That variety has taught me not to assume that what worked somewhere else will work here.

Hands-on by nature

I’m naturally hands-on and resourceful. If something needs doing, I don’t particularly care whether it sits neatly inside the traditional boundaries of a senior consultant’s role. I’ve created everything from short films and visual storytelling to newsletters, animations and interactive tools - often because it’s the most practical way to move things forward or keep people connected. I’m also happy to learn new tools when they help the work move faster or further - from design tools to the latest AI tools. Some people joke that I’m “married” to Canva. (I am lucky to be surrounded by “honest” teams!)​​​​​​
