About Me
A "silent conductor" who helps leaders turn strategy into action
and make important things happen.
Why "Candidus"
Candidus Consulting takes its name from the Latin word candidus, meaning bright, clear and shining. It reflects the role I try to play with clients: helping leaders cut through complexity and find clarity about what really matters. The work is about bringing honest thinking and a fresh perspective so organisations can focus their efforts and move forward with confidence. I’m known for working in a calm, thoughtful way — bringing structure and momentum while strengthening teams and building confidence along the way.
About me
Based in London since 1999, I’ve led and supported multinational teams across consulting and client organisations in Europe, Asia, and beyond. I enjoy working with very different leadership styles and organisational cultures, and I thrive in diverse, multi-cultural environments. My career has included senior roles in the Hong Kong Government, L.E.K. Consulting (London and China), and on the Executive Management Board of TT Electronics plc. Over the years, I’ve delivered 120+ consulting assignments, approaching each engagement with curiosity, honesty, and a strong bias towards what will genuinely work in practice.
I’ve worked with organisations ranging from small and medium-sized businesses to large, global groups across manufacturing and electronics manufacturing, healthcare, FMCG, hospitality, transport, financial services, and NGOs. Moving between sectors and scales has sharpened my ability to listen carefully, adapt quickly, and focus on what truly matters — whether the context is highly regulated, operationally complex, or purpose-driven. I pay close attention to detail where it matters, while helping the team to keep in mind the big picture.
I am recognised as hands-on and resourceful. For example, I create and produce content myself — from short films and visual storytelling to newsletters, animations, and interactive tools. This allows ideas to move faster, creativity to support engagement, and teams to stay connected without unnecessary complexity. I also stretch myself from time to time to learn new tools. Some joke I am "married" to Canva!
Outside consulting, I have been a trustee of RSPCA East London & Havering Branch and have supported charities and NGOs as a volunteer and advisor since 2008, working on governance, strategy, operations, and communications. I also founded Melted Inside, an online marketplace for artisan food and drinks. While still a small business, it has been a rich learning experience in entrepreneurship, creativity, and building something with purpose from the ground up.
I’m married to a British who is also an engineer, so naturally my default consultant on all things “technical.” My mornings usually start under the watchful eyes of our canine bosses, Charlie and Margaux: a senior chocolate lab and a teenage Alsatian-Lab, both rehomed. They help to make sure my day begin with exercise, mud, and cuddles — many gentle reminders that even the best plans need a human (and canine) touch. I hold a Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA from INSEAD.

"Thanks a lot for your insight and support. Although we do not say it often, we all appreciate your professionalism, guidance, kind approach and the provoking question to make us think differently."
